Chart Surfer is a fast-paced trading game consisting of one-minute rounds. Each round presents a new chart, and players determine when to open and close “virtual” positions, aiming to maximize profits by the end of the round.
The charts are generated from randomly selected asset price data across thousands of tokens from multiple years. We can generate hundreds of thousands of charts - so each chart is unique, challenging players to time their entries and exits effectively.
Seasonal Ladder
Players are automatically matched against others via public lobbies that have a 30 seconds prep time, followed by 60 seconds of gameplay. Each game has a leaderboard that updates in real time, based on realized performance. When the round timer ends, the leaderboard placements are final and the rewards are distributed.
Depending on whether the players choose to put some skin in the game or not, there are two game seasonal game types available:
Free: The Play-to-Earn version allows players to compete for Silver Seashells, which help them climbing the Silver seasonal leaderboard. Silver Seashell owners will receive only a set percentage of the seasonal airdrops, to prevent dilution for wagered games players.
Tiered Wager : Bet-to-Play lobbies allow players to join one of four initial tiers ($0.25, $1, $10, $50) and compete against others in the same tier. Example game payout:
#1 ranked player takes 50% of the prize pot
#2 takes 30%
#3 takes 15%
Platform fee is 5%
all players also receive Gold Seashells, pro rata based on their game performance
Gold Seashells are worth a lot more than Silver Seashells in terms of seasonal airdrop rewards.
Custom
This game mode offers players the ability to create and participate in custom sessions with game variables designed by the creator, such as: number of participants, wager size, asset type, round duration, bonus prize pool, prize pool distribution structure - and more.
We will share up to 50% of the platform fee with creators who drive usage. This will be an excellent tool for KOLs, streamers and other influencers to host and promote competitive and engaging events for their communities. Custom games are available in two types:
Public: Creators can leave an open lobby and add bonus prize pools or other incentives and anyone can join.
Private: These rooms offer the same customization options but are accessible only to invited users.
Market Open Bounty
This is a daily tournament that starts at the NYSE market open (09:30 ET) and lasts for an hour. Participants can enter the tournament by purchasing an entry ticket with $TIDE, which goes towards the prize pool bounty.
At the opening bell, players place virtual trades aiming to outperform their opponents and climb the leaderboard. The chart in play is the live price feed of the NASDAQ index which is known to be very volatile at the market open.
During the round, players can "reset" their performance to 0, by purchasing another entry ticket which also goes towards the prize pool.
There's no house edge, no slippage, spreads or trade comissions that eat up your performance - just pure market price action, upredictability and lots of fun.
At the end of the tournament, the prize bounty is split between the top traders in the leaderboard.
